The Road Home Foundation for Injured Warriors and Families was founded by a group of close friends who have known each other for over thirty years.
In April of 2009, one of our sons was severely injured by a roadside bomb while serving with the United States Army in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During the past five years we’ve witnessed not only Brendan’s struggles, but also the struggles of many other injured soldiers, marines, sailors and airmen as they heal their wounds and attempt to regain their independence. We’ve witnessed their individual struggles, as well as those of their family members as they assist in their loved one’s recovery.
We don’t have to imagine the hardships that a family goes through as they bear witness to their son, daughter, brother, sister, husband or father undergo one surgery after another. We’ve lived these hardships with one of our own. Because of our unique experiences, we know first-hand the emotional and financial challenges that these individuals are faced with as they try to restore dignity, hope and quality to their lives.
In an effort to help the injured and their families, we established The Road Home Foundation for Injured Warriors and Families.
We are a 501(c)(3) foundation, and as such, your donation is fully tax deductible. You can rest assured that everyone in our organization volunteers their time and draws no salary. Most importantly, please know that we value your contributions and take seriously our responsibility for fiscal responsibility. We strive in all of our work to maximize the impact of your contributions toward helping injured warriors and their families.
Thank you for joining us in this effort to support these important and valued veterans and their families.
